Road Trip/Tonight’s Office

Good morning! What a fabulous past few days. Arrived on Wednesday afternoon to play a gig at Arthur’s Public Market.

Thursday I took the NS electric string instruments from my RFS Orchestra to a school in the area and demonstrated them to the kids. And then I had the opportunity to do a solo bass set for the students; some of them even got up and sang with me. After my show for the kids, we headed into Albany. Last night I got to see The Funky Meters perform. Between hanging with Mike and hearing him play and talking shop, and then seeing the Meters play…I’m fired up with plenty of ideas for the woodshed! 🙂

Much thanks and gratitude to Michael Dimin for hosting me, setting up all these events, and making this leg of my walkabout so much fun. I woke up with a smile on my face and that tired feeling from “having had way too much fun.”

My view this morning.

Pics from before the Funky Meters show last night…
