Some of my DIY Roots

Just got this lovely piece of feedback in an email from a parent;

“I also wanted to say thanks for all you do! My son has developed an interest in guitar building and repair and just all the gadgets and things that go along with electric guitars. You have been a wealth of info for him in those areas as well as in the learning to play guitar department. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. You have inspired him!”

Very early on, I took lessons but I also was very interested in building guitars and effects. I started working on guitars with my one of my best friends in high school, Chris. I purchased a book on building guitars, and I loaned it to him. Permanently. 😉 So that was Christmas that year, and I purchased myself another copy of the book, which I still use to teach with. After high school, he went on to become an engineer at Community, where he designs and builds sound reinforcement gear.

So…you never know where this all might go.
