One Method to Overcome Stage Fright

One benefit of teaching at Pickers; if a student has stage fright, I’ll take them outside the store and show them how to busk on the street. The class should be called “overcoming stage fright while making extra cash.” 🙂 Some students get pizza afterwards at Benny Vitali, some folks donate the proceeds to a good cause of their choice.

Taylor went from stage shy to stage pro in under an hour yesterday.

I got the nicest letter from her recently.

“My biggest passion grew out of your small studio. I could never thank you enough for teaching me to play the guitar. You gave me the foundation for the one thing I love so dearly. You are an amazing musician in which I believe makes you the wise and inspiring teacher that you are. Your ability to teach not only the technical side of music but the beauty of creativity and passion is why I remained your student for so many years. When I’m able to take on lessons again I will check your openings first and I will always recommend you to others every chance I get. Thanks for everything you’ve taught me from your good heart and wise mind.”

*hugs* Taylor. You’ve got a good heart and wise mind too. See you again real soon. And I think I got a little misty-eyed there.
